Highlights:

The Sole E25 elliptical is the most affordable Sole model and includes a 19 lb flywheel which helps give you a smoother ride. You also get footpedals that have a special 2 degree inward slope – which helps reduce stress on your knees and ankles.

The 0 – 30 degree angle lets you crosstrain different lower body muscle groups and the console fan helps keep your cool during your workout.

Our Review:

If you have a budget but still want the quality construction, the Sole E25 elliptical is the best choice for you. It's the only Sole elliptical for under $1000 and has many of their core features that buyers want

For example, Sole trainers are designed with a slight 2 degree inward angle to the footpedals - which keeps the body in neutral alignment throughout the elliptical motion, protecting your hips, back and knees.

The Sole E25 elliptical also gives you a long 20 inch stride. A longer stride feels more comfortable - especially if you like picking up the pace. It will also help you more fully work your lower body for a more effective calorie-burning workout.

The E25 is built with a 19 pound flywheel. With ellipticals, heavier flywheels produce smoother feeling elliptical rides without the jarring and starting of cheaper machines.

While this is not the heaviest flywheel Sole uses, considering the price point, it's actually very good and will give you a more smooth feeling motion.

Another thing we like about the E25 is the 30 degree power incline. Incline changes the slope of your elliptical path and helps you crosstrain different muscle groups.

While incline is becoming more common in home crosstrainers, many of them at this price point only give you up to 20 degrees - so 30 degrees gives you a bit of an extra challenge.

The footpedals also articulate with your motion - meaning they follow and support the motion of your ankle throughout the ellitpical path. This gives you more support (vs a fixed footpedal) and can help reduce stress on your joints.

The console itself is a bit smaller than other Sole models. However it's still easy to read and backlit, plus there's also a hookup for you iPod or mp3 player with console speakers.

Any drawbacks?

While the Sole E25 elliptical is a strong buy for under $1000, the higher end models give you more - like heavier flywheels, adjustable footpedals, higher incline and larger consoles.
